On July 15, 2024, the Polish Agency for Agriculture and Food Quality Inspection (IJHARS) issued a notice stating that it will implement an e-commerce platform to check border documents for imported agricultural and food products, effective from the date of publication. The main contents are:
(1) Scope: import of agricultural products from abroad (excluding third countries of EFTA member States, i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), import of organic agricultural products, import of fresh fruits and vegetables covered by EU marketing standard requirements to/from abroad (from third countries, without exemption);
(2) JHARS inspection will be serviced through the Data Coordination and Exchange Platform (PKWD SW);
(3) Requirements: Submit an electronic application to IJHARS to ensure that it is complete, and it is not necessary to submit a paper form of the certificate/agreement during customs clearance.
