Shafaq News reports that the Iraqi Cabinet meeting approved the recommendations of the Department of Industrial Development and Organization in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals in accordance with the amended Iraqi Products Protection Law (No. 11 of 2010), deciding the following:
1. To continue to impose a tariff of 65% on all plastic ampoules imported into Iraq for a period of four years without any relief.
2. To impose an additional 30% tariff on aluminum cans used for packaging soft drinks, fruit juices and energy drinks.
This decision shall take effect 120 days from the date of its issuance.
