Eel poisoning of 147 people in Japan confirmed to be caused by Staphylococcus aureus

Recently, eel and eel rice from a store in Japan caused food poisoning. According to reports, on the 24th and 25th of this month, 147 consumers suffered from vomiting and diarrhea after consuming eel and eel rice sold by a store, and one of them, a woman in her 90s, died. For its part, the Yokohama City Government said it has confirmed that the food poisoning was caused by Staphylococcus aureus. It is uncertain whether there is a causal relationship between the food poisoning and the cause of death of the one person who died.
