South Korea recalls 12 unqualified krill oil products
On June 9, South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) released a message that they carried out spot check on krill oil products sold in TV shopping and online shopping. The results showed that 12 of 41 products exceeded the standards of Antioxidant ethoxyquinoline and extraction solvent (hexane, ethyl acetate, etc.), and ordered related companies to stop selling and recall the product.
At the same time, in order to ensure the safety of krill oil products, MFDS will strengthen the safety management of ethoxyquinoline and extraction solvent inspection and other import circulation stages.
South Korea's MFDS also plans to carry out spot check on imported raw materials of krill oil.
In addition, it should be noticed that krill oil is a common food, not a health functional food. We hope that consumers will not be confused by false and exaggerated advertisements that claim the products have disease prevention and treatment function.

6月9日，韩国食品药品安全部（MFDS）发表消息称：韩国对电视购物、网上购物中销售的磷虾油产品进行了抽检，结果显示：41种产品中有12种产品的抗氧化剂乙氧喹啉和提取溶剂（己烷、醋酸乙酯等）等超标，命令其停止销售并召回该产品。
同时，为了确保磷虾油产品的安全性，加强产品进口时的乙氧喹啉和提取溶剂检查等进口流通阶段的安全管理。
韩国食品药品安全部也计划对进口磷虾油原料进行抽检。
另外，由于磷虾油是普通食品，不是健康功能食品，希望消费者不要被宣称产品有预防、治疗疾病效果等无客观、科学依据的虚假、夸张广告所迷惑。
