ported foods & cosmetics From January to June in 2020 and foodmate incompletely statistics, 45 batches of unqualified im
ported alcohol were not allowed to enter China, with a total weight of 114253.96 kg, an increase of 25% over the 36 batches in the same period last year.
In the first half of 2020, the types of unqualified alcohol involved wine, beer, sorghum spirit, whiskey and liqueur. Among them, beer had the largest number with 29 batches.
These unqualified alcohols come from 7 countries or regions including Germany, Belgium, France, the United States, Japan, Spain, and Taiwan. Among them, the number of unqualified alcohols from the United States is the largest, with 23 batches.
According to statistics, in the first half of the year, the main reasons for the unqualified alcohols were impurities, unqualified labels, unqualified sensory inspections, illegal use of chemical gold foil, failure to provide certificates or certification materials as required, and excessive use of food additives. Among them, unqualified labels were most, with 28 batches.
The entry ports of these unqualified liquors involve Fuzhou, Gongbei, Hangzhou, Huangpu, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Tianjin. Among them, Huangpu Port was the most, with 23 batches.
