On 21 July, SAMR issued "Key Points of evaluations on Literature of Health Function Formulas of Health Food (Draft for Comments)", The deadline for comments is 23 August 2020.

The technical evaluation content of the draft mainly covers the scientific basis for the purpose of using the raw materials of the product formula, the principle of the formulation, the compatibility of the formula and the amount of the claimed function. The research of formula and literature is the research basis for the claimed function of the health food, and it is an important basis for comprehensively judging whether the health food function evaluation and labeling related content are reasonable based on the results of the function evaluation test. According to the "Administrative measures of health food registration and filing", "Detailed Guidance for Health Food Registration Approval (2016 Version)" and related regulations, the draft are formulated.
