GACC approved the new revision of Sri Lanka's aquatic product sanitary quarantine certificate

Sri Lanka’s "Daily Financial Times" reported on July 6 that the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) has approved the newly revised Sri Lankan aquatic product sanitation and quarantine certificate. Since July 1, Sri Lankan fishery and aquatic products companies can export related products to China in accordance with the new sanitary and quarantine requirements. The chairman of the Export Development Bureau stated that this will help local companies expand their exports to China and continue to increase their market share in aquatic products such as crabs, prawns and lobsters. According to statistics, in 2020, Sri Lanka's seafood exports to China amounted to 1 billion U.S. dollars.
