South Korea revise the classification of cheeses

On February 21, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2022-16, revising some of the contents of the Codex Alimentarius. The main contents are as follows:

1. Modify the food classification of cheese.

2. Add the fatty acid specification and related test methods of krill oil.

3. Revise the residual veterinary drug test method.

4. Set a notice re-review period (every 3 years).
