Nestle France pizza suspected of Escherichia coli contamination

大肠杆菌
Local time on 13th, the Prosecutor's Office of Paris confirmed that its staff raided a pizza factory owned by Nestle France, CCTV financial reported.

It follows reports that the brand's frozen pizza has infected more than 70 people in France with E. coli, including a one-year-old baby and an 18-year-old who may have died from the infection. French authorities are investigating the incident for manslaughter and fraud. Raids at Nestle's French headquarters and frozen pizza factory revealed rodents and serious problems with hygiene and management. On March 18, Nestle's French headquarters demanded a recall of the frozen pizza and the Caudry factory was ordered to stop production. The affected pizza was distributed to 20 other countries in Europe and Africa, and recalls were also ordered in Belgium and Luxembourg, AFP reported.
