(1) The title of Annex 2 is changed to "Recommended Daily Intakes of Essential Nutrients and Energy for Adults (reference values) in food labels;
(2) To add a conversion factor for vitamin equivalents in Appendix 6;
(3) Replace "average daily requirement" by "recommended daily intake" in the full text of the technical regulation;
(4) Add the concept of "average value";
(5) Allow the classification of refined and modified refined vegetable oils as part of food products; Vegetable oil, vegetable fat and other products should list the name and proportion of oil in parentheses; Fats are named after the oil seed from which they are made;
(6) Add common food ingredient names. Such as: peanut and its processed products; Mustard and its processed products; Sulfur dioxide and sulfite labeling requirements; 15 categories of products including cereals containing gluten;
(7) In the case of the use of aspartame and aspartame-acetylsulphonates in food production, it must be marked "containing phenylalanine source";
(8) The nutritional value indicated on food labels shall include the following indicators: Energy value, protein, fats (including saturated fatty acids), carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, sodium salts; The quantity must be expressed in grams or multiples of the specified value;
(9) Requirements in prohibiting false claims on packaging labels. Images or text descriptions of food ingredients not included or used in food ingredients should not be identified.
The period for feedback on the draft is until May 20, 2022.
