The United States exempts residue limits for Hypochlorous Acid

On May 17, 2022, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued regulation 2022-10563 exempting residue limits for Hypochlorous Acid.  
   
According to the regulations, hypochlorous acid is exempted from residue limits when it is used as an inert ingredient in microbial preparations on food contact surfaces in public eating and drinking establishments.  
   
This requirement is effective from May 17, 2022, objections or requests for hearings must be filed no later than July 18, 2022.
