On 21 November 2024, the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) issued Circular 50374, amending the Wine Notice - Export Requirements and Exemptions. Major revisions include:
(1) The new definition of an e-cert system, that is, an electronic system for the application and issuance of official certificates and other supporting documents for the export of wine;
(2) New official sampling requirements for export wine, that is, the production or export enterprises must ensure that the wine product has completed the entire fermentation process and is in a stable state;
(3) Stipulate that wine export enterprises must keep written records containing information such as exporter, consignee, export quantity and destination country. The amendment is effective from 22 November 2024.
