New Zealand proposed revision of maximum residue levels for agricultural compounds in foods

On January 3, 2025, the Food Standards Agency of the Ministry of Primary Industries of New Zealand issued Circular 2024/07, proposing to revise the "New Zealand Food Bulletin Revision Proposal: Maximum Residue Limits for Agricultural Compounds". The main content of this amendment is to establish MRLs for a number of compounds such as diflufenican in some food products, and the details are listed in the table below (* indicates that the MRLs are set at or near the detection limit). The draft is open for comments until February 25, 2025.
