General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) issued announcement no. 45:2022 on May 30, announcement for Cambodia aquaculture products import inspection and quarantine requirements, and Cambodia related to aquatic products export enterprises have been review by the General Administration of Customs on April 19, and successfully registered in the "overseas import food production enterprise registration information system". At this point, the Cambodian basa fish has completed the last procedure for export to China.

From January 20 to 28, 2022, China conducted a video assessment and quarantine inspection of Cambodia's aquatic product system and related sites. On March 16, China and Cambodia signed a protocol on Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary Hygiene Requirements for Cambodian Aquaculture Products exported to China. On April 19, Cambodian-related export enterprises passed the examination and successfully registered in accordance with the requirements of the "Registration Information system for Enterprises producing imported food overseas" of the General Administration of Customs of China.  Basa fish also became the first agricultural product approved for direct export to China this year.  
   
This is another substantive outcome of China-Cambodia practical cooperation in the face of the epidemic, which will greatly promote mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture between China and Cambodia.
