According to the monthly notice of unqualified foods and cosmetics by GAC, 133 batches of imported foods and 11batches of imported cosmetics were found unqualified and refused for entry in December, 2019.
Unqualified foods came from 39 countries or regions (products from Ecuador, 14 batches, were the most, following with 10 batches from Taiwan area).
The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were: without quarantine approvals (19 batches), illegal food label issues, virus detected, unqualified packaging, etc.
Unqualified cosmetics came from Indonesia and Italy. The rejection reasons were unqualified packaging, inconsistent of goods with documents and without required certificates or qualified documents.
The above mentioned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GAC.
